SWAT (Security for Women in Austere Territory) is an introductory level course for women working in a wide range of environments to help them better understand how to approach their own security. It has a specific focus towards women working in humanitarian and international operations, but is appropriate for women who travel or just those wanting to increase their knowledge of risk mitigation. This course covers the basics of risk analysis, risk awareness, left of bang, risk mitigation, and risk tolerance. The goal is to help women have a better understanding of practical security and risk mitigation strategies that they can implement in their own contexts to facilitate their own personal safety.
