Introduction to Post Disaster Medical Care is a foundational course that covers that basics of post disaster medicine as seen through the lens of medical care based in the United States as well as internationally. This course takes a retrospective look at post disaster medical care and covers the basics of crisis standards of care, good Samaritan laws, as well as factors to consider when working in and around disaster settings both domestically and internationally. Concepts that will be covered are: Incident command, types of communications, realities of triage, and mobile medical care and community outreach.
