First Aide in Sexual Trauma (FAST) is an introductory course into different approaches in supporting survivors of sexual trauma when formalized medical care either isn’t available or is inaccessible. This course will cover the basic tenants of CMR (Clinical Management of Rape) and discuss the over arching goals of First Aide in Sexual Trauma as well as provide an overview of the medical research available to support different approaches. This course does not make medical recommendations, but rather provides clinical and non-clinical humanitarians with information to help them address the medical emergency of sexual trauma when formalized medical care either isn’t available or is inaccessible.
